DavyMarkham - Services - Shop Assembly

DavyMarkham’s assembly bay provides the ideal facility for the trial erection of equipment. In addition to proof erection DavyMarkham have the capability to offer:

Pressure Testing of Automotive Gauge Control (AGC) Capsules;
Functional test motors, gearbox assemblies;
Proof testing of assemblies into housings;
Alignment checks; and
Full dimensional reporting.

A key aspect of manufacturing large structures is the ability to assemble them in a controlled environment to verify that the assembly meets all its tolerances.

Key statistics for the assembly area are:

Total floor space is 100m x 24m with 2 working pits;
No 1 pit is 4m deep x 6m wide x 19m long;
No 2 pit is 5m deep x 9m wide;
Working headroom from pit floor is 17m
Headroom from floor level to hook of crane is 13m; and
Craneage capacity on the linked crane with beam is 275T.
