DavyMarkham, the international heavy engineering company based in Sheffield, has made three new additions to its sales and estimating team, following its acquisition by Indian based Hindustan Dorr-Oliver - part of the $1bn IVRCL group. These new appointments highlight DavyMarkham's continued commitment to further growth and expansion.
![]() Hasan Ali recently joined as Sales Manager bringing extensive knowledge of international industrial markets. Having worked at several leading global companies, including his last role as the UK Country Manager for Belgian engineer, Icarus SA, Hasan will be proactive in driving the sales team forward, generating new relationships within the civil infrastructure, oil, gas, nuclear and subsea markets. He will be responsible for ensuring that DavyMarkham's reputation for quality and performance is maintained.
Tony Lewis also brought his expertise to the team this year, joining as an Estimator. With a proven track record in buying, estimating and project management, he will be responsible for developing close relationships with the customer's technical departments, ensuring that each detail included in the estimates are accurate and to exacting customer specifications. Tony will also be integral to the growth of DavyMarkham, using his expertise in manufacturing methods and capabilities work with Cell Managers and the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Another new appointment to the sales team is Samantha Robotham who will play a key role in DavyMarkham's expanding global presence. She brings international experience to the role having spent a year working in France whilst studying towards an honours degree in French and European Business Studies at the University of Liverpool. Fluent in French and Italian Samantha was given the opportunity to put her business and language skills into practice after being appointed as the new Sales Proposals Assistant. In this new role, Samantha will be proactive in continuing and expanding DavyMarkham's presence in the world market, preparing and compiling tender submissions. She will also be responsible for handling queries and orders of spares for the mining industry, which is one of the company's largest and most successful market sectors.
